File Workshop

This is an ultra compact, portable windows application which consists of useful file tools. The application has been coded in C++ and it is really small, fast and reliable. This is aimed to be more a state-of-the-art tool than a program with shining interface, so enjoy its power!

donate File Workshop is proudly provided as freeware. No adware,
spyware or other annoying code has been included. However

MID Detective

A very special utility intended to retrieve the Media ID code from a DVD and try to find out the real media manufacturer. It applies exclusively to recordable DVD media (DVD+/-R/RW, not DVD-ROMs) and requires a device with writing capabilities. Present version identifies some thousand of recordable DVD media. No warrant of any kind is expressed or implied for this program.

BmpHtmlFun

Converts a 24bit color bitmap (*.bmp) file to ASCII art html code.

File Comparator

Utility to compare any pair of files. It generates a byte-by-byte file comparison and displays any differences found. No need for the files to have the same size, the comparison algorithm is able to find out if a file is a truncated one and/or slightly different (100 differences/10% tolerance are internally predefined limits). Drag-n-drop supported.

AttributeZ

Utility to get/set file or folder attributes. Better than Windows built-in function as it shows and supports ALL possible attribute settings. Also a way to set the combination of "system + hidden" attributes, that is widely known as the "superhidden" attribute. It supports Windows Explorer integration, optionally.

iNFO Reader

A stylish viewer for the ASCII extended readme files (.nfo/.diz/...) you usually download. Associate it with the nfo,diz extensions to be the default reader. The handy "on-top" and "drag-n-drop" features supported.
